Optionaler Ausflug bei Aufenthalt in Cascais : Ganztägige Kulturtour Batalha / Nazaré / Obidos & Wein (09h00 -17h00)
Abfahrt vom Hotel um 09.00 Uhr in Richtung Batalha, um das imposante Nationaldenkmal Batalha-Kloster zu bewundern (Eintritt NICHT inbegriffen), das Kloster aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, ein Meisterwerk der portugiesischen Gotik, in dem sich das Grab von Heinrich dem Seefahrer, dem Förderer der Entdeckungen auf See, befindet. Anschließend fahren wir weiter zum malerischen Fischerdorf und Badeort Nazaré, einem ehemaligen Fischerdorf, das noch einige seiner alten Fischertraditionen bewahrt, und machen uns auf den Weg zum Sítio da Nazaré, einem Stadtteil, der auf einer Klippe über der Stadt thront und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf Land und Meer bietet.
Mittagessen ist nicht inbegriffen, ein Restaurant mit Meerblick wird empfohlen.
Weiterfahrt in die mittelalterliche Stadtmauer von Óbidos, wo wir die Harmonie der Architektur und die Vielfalt des Kunsthandwerks bewundern können, bekannt für seine typischen weißen Häuser, blumengeschmückten Fenster und engen, mit schönen Steinen gepflasterten Gassen. Probieren Sie die typische Ginginha (cherry li queur) in einer Tasse Schokolade!
Zum Abschluss des Besuchs beim Weinproduzenten Quinta do Saguinhal ein Spaziergang durch die Weinberge und zum alten Kelterhaus mit sechs manuellen Stein- und Holzkeltern, der alten Brennerei, dem Reifekeller für Likörweine und Schnäpse und schließlich eine Weinprobe mit sechs Weinen, begleitet von geröstetem Brot und Käse. Wir beginnen unseren Besuch in Silves, einer hübschen mittelalterlichen Stadt, die einst die Hauptstadt der Algarve war. Bei einem Spaziergang durch die kopfsteingepflasterten Gassen scheint die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein. Die Hauptattraktion von Silves ist die große Burg aus rotem Stein, die hoch über der Stadt thront.
Weiter geht es nach Lagos, einer Stadt, die mit den portugiesischen Entdeckungen im 15. In Lagos versammelte Heinrich der Seefahrer die Karawanen, die zur afrikanischen Küste aufbrachen und das portugiesische Zeitalter der Entdeckungen einläuteten, und von hier aus segelte Gil Eanes, der Seefahrer, der bewies, dass die Welt nicht am Kap Bojador endet. Obwohl die Stadt an der Stelle früherer Bauten errichtet wurde, stammen einige der wichtigsten Denkmäler aus dieser Zeit, wie z.B. der Gouverneurspalast, die Stadtmauern und die Festung Ponta da Bandeira. Besichtigung der wunderschönen Kirche Santo Antonio, ein Bauwerk im Barockstil mit vergoldeten Holzvertäfelungen im Inneren und den spektakulären blau-weißen Azulejo-Fliesen.
